Schedule your training dates early. We only except a few dogs each spring summer and fall.

From Basic Obedience to Beginner Hunter & Advanced Hunt test. We will also board dogs, in house.
No out side kennels

Our goal at Saabi-Sil Retrievers is to develop your dog to his or her fullest potential. Retriever Training, Hunt Gun Dog Training, Obedience training for dogs of all ages. We work with owners to ensure the dogs will continue to perform once they leave our training program. Our program is versatile to meet your dog's needs. Which means every program is different based on each dog. So your dog develops at his or her own pace. While your dog is visiting SaabiSil's for training they are treated like one of the family.

Puppy Training Beginner Basics
We start by teaching all the basic commands such as here, sit, heel, and stay. We also teach good in house manners such as not jumping. We also introduce young pups to clipped wings from pheasants,ducks and geese. Graduates from our beginner obedience training program well be on their way to becoming model citizens. While your puppy is with us they will will get trained twice a day. We also spend time with owners on how to reinforce these commands at home. 

We also offer a beginner drop off training program, for our local customers
This program is a 2 hour session 2 days out of every week for 1 month. Owner's drop off their dogs at our location to be trained.

Beginner Obedience Training
Our advanced obedience work continues with all the basic commands (here, sit, heel, and stay) the base to a good foundation of obedience. We also teach good manners on the leash no jumping or pulling. Once learned, we reinforce these commands with an electronic collar conditioning program. Graduates from our obedience training program are well becoming model citizens. While your dog is with us they will will get trained twice a day. We also spend time with owners on how to reinforce these commands at home.

Gun Dog Training
This part of our program continues with all the basic commands (here, sit, heel, and stay). But our main focuses will be on developing your dog into a hunting companion. Skills developed at this level are delivery to hand, introduction to blind retrieves, casting, handling, marking and scent trails Dogs are exposed to all types of hunting situations and gear. Decoys, boats, gun fire, blinds, and birds (live birds are extra) After completing this program, individuals will reliably deliver to hand, have proper mouth habits, run simple blinds on land and water, be accustomed to flyers, and advance toward being steady in the blind. If desired, dogs will be introduced to upland hunting situations, taught how to work cover in search of upland game.

We also offer a beginner gun dog drop off training program, for our local customers
This program is a 2 hour session for 2 days out of every week for 1 month. Owner's are responsible for dropping off their dog at our location to be trained for 8 sessions minimum

GUN DOG & HUNT TEST TRAINING ON SITE.
This part of our program focuses on all the necessary components to be a finished gun dog or a hunt test competitor. Skills developed at this level are delivery to hand, running blinds, handling, marking, and continued obedience. Dogs are exposed to all types of hunting situations and gear. Decoys, gun fire, boats, blinds, and plenty of birds are used at this level (live birds are extra). After completing this program your dog will reliably deliver to hand, have proper mouth habits, complete multiple blinds on land and water, complete a multiple mark set up, be accustomed to flyers, and steady in a blind. If desired, dogs are also introduced to upland hunting situations, taught to work cover in search of game. And to be steady to wing and shot.

HUNT TEST HANDLING.
